This location gives easy access
to the resort towns of Fuengirola, Benalmdena and the
quieter La Cala de Mijas. Mijas Pueblo is also a short
drive away. This is the perfect base to explore Andalucia
and the real Spain.
On leaving Mlaga airport keep always in the right hand
lane. Carry straight across the roundabout, keeping
in the right hand lane. Follow signs for CADIZ still
keeping in the right hand lane, and you will pass the
San Miguel Factory. This road filters you onto the N340
heading west towards Cadiz and the motorway A7.
Keep in the right hand lane, as you will be turning
off on the third exit onto the A7 motorway headed for
Benalmdena, Cadiz and Algeciras. Once you are on the
motorway, (also marked E15 and N340) climb the mountain
and you will pass the exits for Torremolinos, (Km 227)
, then Benalmdena and Arroyo de La Miel (Km 222), then
Benalmdena and Mijas Pueblo (Junction Km 217). The motorway
goes downhill at this point, and you should stay in
the right hand lane.
The motorway signs request you select the correct lane,
and you should be in the right hand lane, (N340 Costa)
as soon the motorway splits into two. This is Junction
Km 214 - take the sign for Fuengirola and Mijas but
then stay in the left lane for Fuengirola, not the right
for Mijas. This lane will eventually filter you onto
the main N340 coast road. Stay on this road for 5 minutes,
just past the Cruz Campo sign take the exit for Coin.
Take the first exit on the roundabout to Coin another
5 minutes and you will pass under the motorway bridge
take the second turn right, which is the entrance to
Mijas Golf and the Hotel Byblos. Continue past the hotel
to the roundabout take the second exit and continue
up the hill until you reach Puebla Aida on the right.
